Setting up a travel checklist depends on the location: warm or cold country, city or countryside, driving or taking the bus, hiking or swimming...
Anyway, you should think about it a long time ago before to go and note each idea every day. Below is my short list.
- passport, ID, driving licence, credit card
- vouchers (flight, hotel, car)
(make copies of all docs and store them separately)
- ID pictures
- camera
- tissues
- knife (if possible)
- plastic bags
(use trash bags, since they are practical and unexpensive)
- towel
- sandals
- swimming suit
- sun cream
- sun glasses
- hat or cap
- poncho and raincoat
- toilet bag and toilet paper
- torch light
- kompass
- alarm clock
- notebook, pen, enveloppes
(write addresses on them, you won´t have to take an address book with you)
- bottle of water
(a flat one like platypus is very practical)
- insect repellent
